Thai Turkey Burger Ingredients

  • Ground Turkey
  • Onion
  • Coconut Aminos
  • Sriracha
  • Garlic
  • Ginger
  • Salt and Pepper

How to Make Thai Turkey Burgers

  1. Mix the patties: In a bowl, combine ground turkey, Sriracha, coconut aminos, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper. Then, grate the onion directly over the ground meat. Mix gently until just combined — don’t overwork it.
  2. Form patties: Shape into 4 evenly-sized patties. If the mixture is sticky, chill it for 10–15 minutes to help it firm up.
  3. Cook: Grill, pan-fry, or cook in a skillet over medium heat for 4–5 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  4. Toast the buns: Lightly toast the burger buns for extra texture and flavor. This dish also pairs well with sauteed peppers and rice.

Storing + Reheating

Cooked patties can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days. Perfect for meal-prepping and leftovers! Cooked or uncooked patties can also be wrapped individually and frozen for up to 2 months.

Pro Tips

  • Make it spicy: Add chili flakes or more sriracha to the mix.
  • Make it saucy: Stir together mayo + sriracha + lime juice = instant spicy mayo.
  • Make it lighter: Swap the bun for butter lettuce or serve over jasmine rice.
  • Meal prep win: Cook extras and store in the fridge for up to 4 days. Reheat for easy lunches!

What is my secret for a moist turkey burger?

In order to create a moist & juicy turkey burger- I Iike to grate onion directly over the ground meat. It basically becomes onion juice, which helps to flavor the meat and to keep it moist. In this recipe, I also added coconut aminos, which further provides moisture.
