Pan-Seared Pork Chops with Sautéed Apples

This recipe for pan-seared pork chops with savory sautéed apples makes an easy one-skillet meal, perfect for even busy weeknights!

Recently, a good friend was telling me about a dinner she made. She's French and so is her chef husband. She made sautéed apples, with savory spices- like thyme, oregano, or Italian seasoning, as her side dish! Wait, what?!? Apparently, she also makes a lot of savory apple dishes around the holidays too. Now, I've come across and even made a few recipes that included pork, apples, and onions. I guess I'm just so used to having vegetables at each meal, the idea of a fruit side dish never even occurred to me!

Well, sautéed apples with a little butter and oregano or Italian seasoning are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I have really been missing out, but not anymore!

Who says you always need to eat at least one veggie for dinner?!? Well, ok...probably a bunch of doctors and nutritionists...but, we can simply munch on some baby carrots while we're cooking!

Tonight, start with pan-seared, golden pork chops. Then, while the meat rests, sauté some diced apples. Super simple and created using only one skillet. Oh, and it will be ready in 30 minutes or less!

Apples are delish with cinnamon and butter, but savory is pretty incredible too!
