So, you're not a baker. Or maybe you've spent too much time in the kitchen, but still need something cute, sweet, and EASY. Well, look no further! This recipe requires very little time, effort, or kitchen skills. It's very popular near the holidays, but would be perfect any time of the year.

Crunchy. Salty. Sweet. And totally addictive!

Gluten Free Holiday Cracker Candy Steps

First, you cover a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Next, line the sheet with crackers. I used a gluten free flatbread cracker. Any savory, non-flavored cracker will do. Now, most traditional recipes call for 2 sticks of butter. What?!? I mean....delicious, but that is A LOT of butter. My recipe only uses 3-4 Tbsp. of butter. Melt in the microwave. Then, stir in the brown sugar and pour the mixture over the crackers. High broil in the oven for 3-4 minutes, until the sugary mixture begins to bubble. Next, bring on the chocolate!

Here again, most recipes call for 2 cups of chocolate chips. I found 1 cup to be plenty. Maybe my toffee (butter/brown sugar) layer and chocolate layer will not be as thick, but all of the amazing flavors are present and accounted for. You will not be missing anything! Then, in a microwave-safe dish, melt the chocolate chips in the microwave, stirring after 20-second increments. Pour over the crackers. Use a knife or spatula to smooth over the crackers. If desired, add some sprinkles, chopped candies, or nuts. Now comes the hardest part...

Let it sit to cool and harden. Walk away. Do not touch. Maybe find something to distract yourself. This can take up to an hour. Finally, break into pieces and enjoy! Store in an airtight container.
