A cauliflower steak is a thick piece of cauliflower, that is seasoned and roasted or grilled. It makes a terrific healthy side dish or a great meat alternative for steak night.
Ingredients in Roasted Cauliflower Steak
Cauliflower
Olive or Avocado Oil (can use spray)
Garlic Powder
Paprika
Onion Powder
Salt and Pepper
How to Make Roasted Cauliflower Steak
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
Slice the cauliflower into about 3/4 inch planks. The pieces on the sides will fall apart, but they can still be seasoned and roasted.
Carefully wash and pat dry. Then, place on a greased or lined baking sheet.
Spray or brush with olive or avocado oil. Next, season with salt and pepper. In a small bowl, mix together 1 tsp. of garlic powder, 1 tsp. of paprika, and 1/2 tsp. onion powder. Sprinkle half of the spice mixture on top of the cauliflower.
Roast cauliflower for 15 minutes. Then, remove from the oven.
Carefully flip over the cauliflower. Next, spray or brush with olive oil or avocado oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Then, season with the remaining spice mixture. Return to the oven for 10-15 minutes, until fork tender.
