- 2 Tbsp. marinara sauce
- 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
- Salt and pepper
- Optional: 2 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
- Slices of pepperoni
- 4 - 8 slices of garlic bread (bread + butter + garlic)
- 4 oz. mozzarella, sliced
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, add the ground beef, sausage, marinara, and oregano. Use clean hands or a spoon to mix until well-combined. Then, separate meat into 4 equal-sized pieces. Next, press into patties. Season with salt and pepper.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Then, add the burgers and cook for about 3-5 minutes, per side. Use a meat thermometer, cut a burger open, or use your burger intuition to decide when they are done. 135 degrees on the inside for medium rare, 145 degrees for medium. If desired, top with pepperoni, mozzarella, marinara sauce, etc.
- Buy or make garlic bread- heat/toast bread. Serve open-face or as a traditional hamburger sandwich.
