Ingredients
- 1/2 head of cauliflower, chopped
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1/2 c. flour (I used oat and almond)
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- Salt and pepper
- 2 Tbsp. oil (I used coconut)
- 1/3 c. orange juice
- 2 Tbsp. honey
- 1 Tbsp. coconut aminos or soy sauce
- Optional: sesame seeds or scallions
Instructions
- Bring a medium pot, filled halfway with water, to a boil. Chop and wash the cauliflower. Then, boil the florets for 3-4 minutes. Next, drain and allow to cool for a few minutes.
- In a small bowl, whisk the egg and milk. In a separate shallow dish, mix the flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Dip cauliflower in the egg mixture. Then, coat with the flour mixture. Heat a large skillet with the oil over medium heat. Lightly fry each side about 2-3 minutes, until browned.
- In a separate skillet, heat the orange juice, honey, and soy sauce over medium heat. Bring to a boil and allow to thicken for 3-4 minutes. Then, add the cauliflower pieces and stir carefully. Garnish with sesame seeds.
