Honey-Orange Chicken Tenders

Ingredients

  • Olive oil
  • 3 Tbsp. corn starch
  • 1 lb. chicken tenderloin (about 8 pieces)
  • Salt and pepper

Honey-Orange Glaze

  • Zest of 1/2 orange
  • 1/2 c. orange juice
  • 2 Tbsp. honey
  • 2 Tbsp. coconut aminos or soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. sesame oil
  • 1/4 inch fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced

Instructions

  • Heat a medium skillet over medium heat with 2 Tbsp. of olive oil. Place the corn starch in a shallow bowl. Then, lightly coat the chicken with the corn starch. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Next, brown the chicken for about 4-6 minutes on the first side, until golden brown.
  • In a small bowl, whisk the orange zest, orange juice, honey, coconut aminos, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic.
  • Turn the chicken over. Then, add the honey-orange glaze to the skillet. Allow to cook for 4-5 minutes, until chicken is cooked through and glaze thickens.
