Ingredients
- 20 apples, peeled & diced (about 5 lbs.)
- 3/4 c. coconut or brown sugar
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
Instructions
- First, wash, core, and dice the apples. I also peeled the apples, but you can leave the peels.
- Add the apples to the slow cooker. Then, top with the coconut/brown sugar, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, and salt. Cover and cook on low for 10 hours.
- Use an immersion blender to blend the apple mixture. You can also use a regular blender, but be careful with the steam.
- Next, cook uncovered in the slow cooker for 1 more hour, stirring occasionally.
- Finally, turn off the slow cooker and stir in the vanilla.
