If you're craving something savory, sweet, and satisfying, but don’t want to spend hours in the kitchen-- this stovetop teriyaki chicken is the perfect solution!
1. Heat a few tablespoons of olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the chicken breasts to the pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the chicken is golden brown on each side. Season with salt and pepper.
2. Next, reduce the heat to medium-low. Then, pour or spoon in the teriyaki sauce. Cover the skillet with a lid and let it simmer for 20 minutes.
3. Remove the chicken from the pot and allow to cool for a few minutes. Then, use two forks to shred the chicken or slice with a knife. Add the chicken back to the pot and stir with the teriyaki sauce.
4. Serve with rice or potatoes and veggies.
