Ingredients
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 c. chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. applesauce
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 c. gluten free flour blend (stick with lighter flours)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- In a medium bowl or cup, microwave the butter and chocolate chips for 20-second increments. Stir until melted. In a large mixing bowl, whisk the butter, chocolate chips, applesauce, and brown sugar. Next, whisk in the egg, egg yolk, baking soda, and flour.
- Pour batter into a greased 9x9 or 8-inch baking dish. In a 9x9 pan, bake for 14-16 minutes, until an inserted toothpick comes out almost clean. For an 8-inch pan, bake for 20-24 minutes, until an inserted toothpick comes out almost clean. Allow to cool before slicing.
